From a neighbourhood shelf to 30,000 books
What began as a simple idea — inculcate reading as a habit and make good books reachable to everyone — has grown into one of the largest private collections in Chennai, meeting the needs of every age group.
Today we house 30,000+ books in multiple languages across 50+ categories: bestsellers, Tamil and English fiction, self-help, business, culture and history, and a beloved children's section that has started thousands of young readers on their first book.
Our in-house, carefully designed Android and iOS app lets readers borrow and return books from the comfort of their home — while our decade-old reading room in Mogappair remains open for anyone who wants to browse the stacks in person.
